The long awaited annual biblical entrepreneurship summit took place last weekend 12th June 2021 and was nothing short of impressive. The summit took place online as a webinar on zoom meets and Facebook live platforms. The prestigious event was watched live by numerous community members of the Nehemiah project and supporters of the Kingdom business contestants. The event was commenced with energy and excitement by Frank Kitonga, country director of the Nehemiah project. The Nehemiah Project Country director later introduced Nina Mutegi, CEO of Mirema School who opened the ceremony with an inspirational prayer. Frank and Nina being the host and cohost respectively, educated the viewers on the background of the Nehemiah project and then proceeded to officially start the program.

This year’s summit 2021, featured 5 Kingdom business contestants going head-to-head to emerge the winner of the national biblical entrepreneurship summit. The contestant showcased their business plans and faced the judges for a question-and-answer session, where the judges determined the viability of the business and eventually chose the winner from the statistical analysis.

The host and co host advanced to introducing Patrice Tsague, Founder of the Nehemiah project and Kingdom business coaching. The Nehemiah project founder then gave a brief background of the Nehemiah project. The 10-year goal of Nehemiah project is to train over 300,000 entrepreneurs around the world, establish over 20,000 businesses and create 100,000 jobs. Guest pastor JM Ndivu was next to take the stage to administer a scripture and teach the viewers biblical principles form the scripture.

The hosts the went ahead to introduce the panel of judges for the 2021 biblical entrepreneurship summit. The first judge being Mr. George Wafula, a financial consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the field. The second Judge was Miss Lorna Mutegi, Marketing and sales specialist with over 20 years’ experience in both corporate and education fields. The head judge was Dr. Ibrahim Mutendo, a high spirited Christian medical doctor, motivational speaker, and biblical entrepreneur. After all the five contestants had showcased their business plans and responded to the judges questions, Mirema school CEO, handed over the prestigious award to the 2021 winner. a very excited Ms. Rina Hicks, CEO of RH group limited, wishing her well as she goes ahead to represent Kenya on a regional level.
